Kitchen Remodel Complete

It’s that time of year again. Summer is here and it’s time to clean. Flowers are in bloom, the sun is out for longer and birds start to sing. The world around us begins to get bright and fresh and we want our homes to reflect this. But where do you start? Well the kitchen is considered to be one of the most vital rooms in your home so it seems like a good place to start. In most homes it is the most used room; it’s the space that brings the family together, for a few minutes anyway, whilst everyone devours their dinner. It needs to have a pleasant and warm atmosphere so that dinner seems like a special occasion.

However, years of spills and dining can take its toll on your kitchen. It could look a bit gloomy heading into spring. In today’s economy, funds are a big problem in most UK homes so starting from scratch might not be possible but revamping could be the perfect solution. You can still have a beautiful kitchen for spring if you follow some of these helpful tips.

Spring Clean

You would be surprised how much a difference a good spring clean could be. Don’t take on the job yourself; get all of the family to help. Take a few hours from your weekend to get your kitchen looking in tip top condition. Get rid of any unnecessary appliances that aren’t used. Freeing up some space in your kitchen can give it a new lease of life. Don’t just focus on the exterior aspects of your kitchen though. Clean your cupboards and draws. Creating space in your draws will mean that you have more storage space and it will make you feel so much better. Nobody wants to open a draw and see a pile of mess.

If you’re not happy with just a clean, look at the idea of redesigning an area of our kitchen. This could be painting your walls or replacing your old cupboards. There are so many ways of changing your kitchen to give it a fresh look. If you take the painting option then use light colours. This will give your kitchen the illusion of space. Painting is a cost effective solution but can easily be damaged. A popular alternative are glass splashbacks. They are available in any colour and can instantly convert your old kitchen into a modern day masterpiece. You are able to customise the design as they can be created using any colour and any shape. They only require an occasional wipe down for cleaning so you will save so much time if you install them. You could also look out for art that would look nice in your kitchen; a spare wall would look a lot better with some art.

New Furniture

Furniture can revitalise your kitchen. Adding a new dining table and chairs will make it seem like a new room. If you have the space, you could consider inserting a breakfast bar with stools. This will give your kitchen a casual atmosphere so your family would spend more time in there.
